    photo_6305_20080612 copyThis is the free bus service which transports local children to the Tauranga Art Gallery’s Education programme.  The bus makes sure that no school in the region is excluded from visiting the Tauranga Art Gallery.  Last year over 8,000 students travelled to the Gallery on organised trips.  It costs around $40,000 each year to pay for the ArtBus.  The Tauranga Art Gallery must raise that amount of money every year to meet the cost.

    What can we do to help the ArtBus?  Each bus trip: a seat costs $5; half a bus of seats costs $100; a whole bus $200.  All donations qualify for a tax rebate.

    Donations can be made: at the Tauranga Art Gallery;

    • Cheque to Friends of the Gallery PO Box 13-255 Tauranga 3141 or
    • Deposit by internet banking to the Friends bank account
    • ASB 12-3146-0061352-00 (reference name and ArtBus.)

    This is another Friends of the Gallery ifund raising initiative.
