uPflash: escape to creativity in Tauranga!

0

Brave the weather and head on down to Tauranga for the forthcoming festival of words:  escape!  It’s by no means the only thing happening around here:  you can visit the Affordable Art & Artisan Fair, the Historic Village, our Tauranga Art Gallery and also one of the regular exhibitions and sales of work of the Tauranga Society of Artists.

Among Escape! guests are political writer Max Harris, Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller, chef Monique Fiso who is taking indigenous ingredients to Michelin-star level, cartoonist Tom Scott, comedian Michele A’Court, poet-doctor Glenn Colquhoun (student ticket price also discounted), novelist Laurence Fearnley and Geoff Chapple, founder of Te Araroa Walkway of New Zealand.

The festival takes place at Baycourt Theatre from June 1-4 and also includes two performances of the award-winning one-woman comedy ‘My Best Dead Friend’.
