More than 70 people enjoyed The Art/Poetry Bash at the Tauranga Art Gallery on August 1.
A fascinating 15 minute talk by Talulah Belle Lautrec-Nunes about New Zealand art, her personal art and Vincent Van Gogh was greeted with generous applause. Her recent oil paintings hung from the gallery’s working room and she was approached by a number of people after the event.
Poets Keith Nunes, Beverly Hollister-Jones and Fred Buijn each recited their poetry in separate bursts.
The enthusiastic crowd responded right through the event. The gallery staff were very helpful and they also felt the evening was a success.
