    Local libraries holiday opening hours

By ARTbop on December 19, 2017 WORDS

Love the little bookmark/flyers the Tauranga City and Western Bay Libraries have made to tells us when they will be “shut” over the 2017 Christmas and New Year period.

Omokoroa Library and Service Centre is open all  usual days except the statutory holidays.  Took a tiny “tiki tour” round the library this afternoon while I was there renewing a library book.

The Omokoroa Library and Service Centre is CLOSED Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th December 2017 and then Monday 1st January and Tuesday 2nd January 2018.   Early closing this Friday 22nd December 9am-11.30am.  Saturday 23rd December as usual 9.30am to 12noon.

TAURANGA CITY LIBRARIES WILL BE CLOSED ON DECEMBER 25, 26 and on JANUARY 1, 2.

DON’T FORGET TAURANGA FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY:  Friends of the Library is for all people interested in the Library.  We have a number of goals and aims.  You can join the Friends of the Library (which hold meetings at Greerton, Papamoa, and Mt Maunganui  libraries.   You can check out what’s happening on www.fol-tauranga.org.nz

    Enquiries: secretary@fol-tauranga.org.nz

One of the books from Tauranga City Libraries I’ve reviewed in December’s Rapid Reviews: Christmas good reads!  http://artbop.co.nz/rapid-reviews-christmas-good-reads/

And check out my video of the Greerton Library children’s holiday programme and see some of the cool things that happen in our local libraries.

AND WHILE YOU’RE HERE; take a look at the Birgitt Shannon created video of the inaugural Affordable Art & Artisan Fair at the Black Sheep Bar & Grill Whakamarama

THE NEXT FAIR IS ON THE 28TH JANUARY 2018 11AM TO 3PM!
