Diane Hume-Green ARTbop contributor and member of the Tauranga Writers Group attended the recent relaunch of Freelance Magazine held at Creative Tauranga.
Jenny Argante, well-known poet and author and her team have taken over the publication of Freelance magazine which has been available for over 34 years. It is a quarterly publication available by subscription.
The poem featured in the magazine, “Where do Ideas come from”? by Carolyn McCurdie, was read first and then Jenny introduced her team.
The magazine now has 12 extra pages and has been given a makeover from the front cover to the back. The motto of the magazine is ‘Writers helping writers’ and the content definitely reflects this. There are articles about writing styles, how-to articles, info about writing events, A Writers Journey which is written by new authors and even an Agony Aunt column. No romance agony questions here just writing related questions answered by the very wise Hene Pukapuka. I really enjoyed reading it and will definitely use it as a resource book. I
f you are a writer, or would like to become a writer or just enjoy writing as your hobby, then this is a great publication for you.
