One of the most popular sections at the library is the one with digital social media books. Michelle Sims, Business Librarian at Tauranga City Library launched an initiative for the Library to host an event aimed at business users of these books and Diane Hume-Green of Scene About Town was there too.
An evening with three independent Social Media experts, Sheldon Nesdale- Marketing First, Dan Necklen -Likeable Social Marketing and Kathryn Overall -Engage Communications were the panel and the event was held after work at the Library.
The format of a panel discussion with different points of view was refreshing and worked well with audience participation. Topics covered included the use of Facebook, Twitter, Email marketing, Business blogging and more.
Drinks and nibbles were also provided. An enjoyable way to get great information and understand these new types of communication from people who use them everyday.
